Former Argentine Army Bell UH-1H Iroquois AE-413 captured and used by British forces during the Falklands War of 1982. Returned to the United Kingdom and image taken when on display at Royal Air Force Finningley open day. Argentine national markings have been removed and a crude "UK" painted on for identification. The helicopter would later be restored to flying condition registred as G-HUEY

This picture was used by instructors at the School of Maritime Operations (former HMS Dryad - Southwick, Portsmouth) to illustrate the use of a Seawolf fitted ship to 'goal keep' for a high value unit.

Two HMS Cardiff radar operators getting some fresh air but also dressed for action: Anti-flash hood and gloves, a life jacket and "once-only" suit around waist, thick wooly items of clothing, and carrying gas respirators. HMS Cardiff is acting as Anti Air Warfare Coordination (AAWC) ship in San Carlos waters, Falkland Islands.

Spent shell casings from a naval gunfire support mission by HMS Cardiff (D108) on the night of 5 June, 1982, as part of the Falklands War. Photograph was taken the morning after on 6 June, also the top of her charred Sea Dart launcher can be seen bottom right. She fired 277 rounds that night and also shot down a friendly helicopter.

A column of 45 Royal Marine Commandos yomp towards Port Stanley. Royal Marine Peter Robinson, carrying the Union Jack flag on his backpack as identification, brings up the rear.
