UN Security Council Meeting; New York, USA July 1958

"Continuing its day and night meetings on the situation in Lebanon, the UN Security Council today failed to adopt the resolution presented by Japan because of the negative vote of a permanent members (USSR). The vote on the resolution followed the rejection of Soviet amendments by 8 votes to 1 with 2 abstentions.
